ARB BASE RACK roof rack designed for Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor 2022+
The ARB roof rack consists of mounting components (ARB 17940080) and the ARB BASE RACK platform (ARB 1770060).
The roof platform is made of extruded aluminum, which makes the ARB roof rack unmatched in terms of weight-to-strength ratio.
Roof rack specifications:
- each beam has internal reinforcement, giving the BASE RACK its high strength and rigidity
- low-profile, single-piece, fully welded construction (except for corner caps, smooth welds do not interfere with loading)
- extruded aluminum beams with internal stiffeners, arranged perpendicular to the vehicle for easy loading and unloading
- unique “dovetail” load securing system for faster and easier removal of accessories
- textured, powder-coated surface
- possibility of running electrical wiring inside the trunk to connect, for example, additional lighting
- aluminum, cast corners, UV-resistant, plastic bottom for easy drilling for wiring
- load capacity 85 kg - dynamic
- weight - 13 kg
- dimensions: 125x115 cm
Installation of the platform requires drilling into the vehicle roof. The entire unit is mounted using the dedicated ARB 17940080 roof rack mounting system. The clearance from the base of the roof rack to the highest point of the vehicle roof is 10 mm, and the vehicle height is increased by 45 mm.
The mounts are made of 3 mm powder-coated steel, and the deflector (wind deflector) is made of 2 mm powder-coated aluminum.
According to the user manual:
- The maximum load per crossbar of the Base Rack is 25 kg.
- The load must be evenly distributed and secured.
- Any weight carried on the roof of the vehicle affects its handling, especially when cornering or in crosswinds.
- Regularly check the tightness of the securing clamps and load securing devices.
