Compressor refrigerators
There is nothing better than a favorite drink on a hot day chilled to the right temperature and for those who like to grill fresh meat or fish on the grill. Especially in high temperatures, a compressor fridge works best, you could say that it is a must have for those traveling with a roof tent, bus or campervan.
Why a compressor fridge and not a travel fridge?
A compressor fridge cools regardless of the outside temperature, which distinguishes it from other travel fridges. There is no need to put previously cooled products in the fridge or to cool the device itself beforehand. We set the desired temperature, connect the power supply and that's it. Compressor fridges can be powered by direct current (12/24 V) or alternating current (100-240 V) and energy from photovoltaic panels.
Will a compressor fridge fit into any car?
There are many different options, manufacturers and sizes available on the market. We offer Yeticool (now Yolco) equipment that we have personally tested. Among the available models, we can easily choose the right capacity and dimensions for the space we have in the trunk, on the back of a pick-up truck or in the body.
Price and is it worth it?
Car compressor refrigerators cost from around PLN 1,200-1,300 upwards, depending on the selected size, possible power supply option (there are refrigerators with space for an additional battery) or division into two independent cooling chambers. However, this is not an expense only for a moment or only for use when traveling by car. The refrigerator will come in handy in various situations, a picnic outside the city, a cottage on the plot and after the season at home as an additional refrigerator. The temperature range we have is +20 to even -20 degrees, which gives a lot of possibilities!
