Family tents open beyond the outline of the car to obtain a large mattress area. You can choose from a model in an aluminium hard shell like Summit Explorer 180 and Voyager PRO 160 or 230, which when closed has only 29 cm and fits on typical combi car. We travel with this model of the tent ourselves with children, often mounting it on a Golf in a combi.

A tent with a soft cover is also available - Wild Cruiser, very comfortable and cheaper due to the soft cover.
