In modern designs, this is definitely being abandoned in favor of ease of use. The zipper of the main tent cover is offset in relation to the mosquito net. During rain, we can close or close the windows completely and not worry about water getting inside. Additionally, the seams are glued, and a specially designed flysheet drains drops along the external walls.
