It's quite an interesting issue how our perspective of space changes depending on the place. Why do we normally have a 160 cm wide mattress at home and now it turns out that in a roof tent we can sleep on 120-140 cm?
It is natural that at home we never sleep on the edge of the mattress, we always lie at least 20 cm from the edge. So as not to fall, to be covered by a blanket etc. In a tent, where we have limitations on each side, protection resulting from the construction of the tent itself, our brain perceives space slightly differently, using it all.
